Sales Support Analyst

The Sales Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the field Sales team on CRM tasks and business processes to increase sales efficiency and help enable profitable growth of Timken products and services.

This position will utilize the knowledge of Timken’s SAP, CRM (Customer Relations Management), Quality, Engineering, and business process and systems to support the sellers on the non-critical selling activities. This position provides, coordinates, analyzes, and facilitates reporting of key information so that sellers and sales management associates can take fact-based and timely business decisions achieve sales objectives. This position provides the sellers a main point of contact in the organization to coordinate and drive the sales business processes.

 

As a Sales Support Analyst you will:

  • Special Price Coordinator (New Business & Renewal) – Receive new business special price request through CRM task, Sales Engineer, or customer. Service email and submit NBPR (New Business Price Request) or/and ASR (Agreement Sales Rebate) for pricing analysis and approval. Review expiring price report and initiate renewal with the right time in advanced. Monitor progress through the renewal process, especially the sales review step. Ensure the approved account pricing is into SAP prior to the expiration date. Renewal may include OE (Original Equipment) or Distribution PARs (Price Agreement Renewal) or/and ASRs. Assist sales with the prices as required.
  • Customer Acceptance  (MOC - Management Of Change) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) Coordinator– Coordinates customer MOC project validation and approval for the seller. Provides the Sales team with project information including presentation materials and customer notification letters. Each MOC may impact multiple customers so the Sales Support Representative will need to manage accordingly across the team and accounts. Receive PPAP request from the MOC process or the directly from the seller. Complete the initial customer PPAP documentation (ex. 9188 form). Work with the plant on the PPAP timing and the task promise date. Review PPAP package from the plant coordinator and send to sales when complete.
  • Customer Complaint Coordinator (GQTS – Global Quality Tracking System) – Review the GQTS loaded in the system for accuracy and completeness and submit on behalf of the seller for the plant to act. Monitor the progress by the plant to ensure resolution is meeting sales/ customer expectations. Close out when resolved.
  • Master Data Management (MDM) - Maintains and communicates changes related to account and/or end user master data within CRM and SAP customer level. Submit CIDRs (Change In Demand Requirements) as requested. Support with NPRs (New Product Request) and NP0s (New Product Order) for special projects manage by Sales Team.
  • Reporting – Provide as required useful reports, CRM tasks, opportunity data, expiring price reports, CIDR and supply chain data, PPAP reports and any other report for customers information that is useful for the field sales associates to manage their business activities.

Minimum qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in excel, SAP and CRM
