We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Manufacturing Production Planning Analyst to join our Timken Aurora Bearing team and play a key role in optimizing our production processes to meet customer demands effectively.
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Production Planning Analyst will be responsible for creating and managing a detailed master production schedule to meet customer demand while minimizing inventory investment and maximizing productivity. This role requires a proactive approach to improving production planning and scheduling processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery to customers while maximizing production flow and minimizing inventory costs.
- Analyze historical production data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts, production and inventory plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, quality and sales, to align production plans with business goals.
- Identify and address potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process and recommend improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track production performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, reduce excess inventory, and minimize disruptions to the production floor.
- Implement and maintain production planning software and tools (Epicor) to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Prefer bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in production planning, manufacturing operations, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
