Summary

This Key Position, reporting to the onsite Human Resources Manager, coordinates the implementation and maintenance of Payroll (weekly and bi-monthly); Human Resource services, policies, and procedures relevant to the Company's obligations to its associates; and legal and regulatory compliance.

 

Essential Functions of the position:

 

Maintain, record, monitor and modify as necessary associate time and attendance in KRONOS / ADP.

 

Coordinate compensation and attendance activities such as associates on military leave, jury duty, funeral leave, disability leave and FML.

 

Communicate and resolve associate concerns regarding medical and other benefit coverages by obtaining accurate information and documentation.

 

Serve as liaison for Corporate representatives and insurance carriers (e.g. healthcare providers, etc.)

 

Hold information sessions to educate associates on Total Rewards and supplemental benefits programs.

 

Maintain accurate and timely records to generate HR function and plant leadership reports, such as headcount and union reports, or presentations as needed and requested. Produce annual exit summary and compliance reports.

  

Provide support to Human Resources Manager on various projects, including but not limited to, plant communications; responding to daily inquiries from current and retired associates regarding payroll and benefits questions;  managing maintenance of associate communications tools such as Benefits and Wellness Information Boards;  Coordinating associate events (e.g. plant holiday events, service awards, and other celebrations).

 

Promote Company values and provide administrative support and documentation for new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and co-ops.

 

Provide Open Enrollment assistance to plant associates.  

 

Support Talent Management strategies by participating in panel interview and other talent acquisition activities.

 

Represent the Company in enterprise-wide activities (e.g. United Way campaign) and the Timken Foundation; and local community sponsored events, such as Chamber of Commerce, Job Fairs, etc.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Payroll management experience of two plus years

Expertise in KRONOS, ADP, SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel) and Outlook

HR generalist experience of three plus years

Experience in union manufacturing environment preferred
