Smith Services, a part of Timken Power Systems, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate for the Princeton service center.

The Shipping and Receiving Associate position is critical to the daily receipt, verification, and data entry to the business system and the processing of parts and supplies from all sources.


The Shipping/Receiving Associate:

  • Records quantities, part and serial numbers per vendor purchase order/packing slip to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Interacts with all inbound courier services (UPS, Fed-Ex, etc.) to support the induction of parts and supplies to the Stockroom.
  • Other numerous daily activities include: filling propane, crushing cardboard boxes & the general cleaning of the stockroom.
  • Associate is responsible for the storage of parts and supplies per established procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures. 
  • Operates fork lift and other warehouse equipment as required. 
  • Records and maintains control of all shipped/received items.


Basic requirements:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Prior experience in Shipping/Receiving, 3+ years preferred.
  • Prior experience with ERP, preferred.
