H&N Electric, a division of Timken Motor & Crane Services, is currently seeking a Lead Wind Technician for the Pasco, Washington site. The role of this position is to be the project lead for field service work. They are the primary contact for management and customers and will be partnered with training techs to develop strong skillsets. This position reports to the Field Services Supervisor.
Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as project lead
- Perform scheduled maintenance and general service on wind turbines
- Perform diagnostic electrical analysis
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical issues, and repair
- Train & Mentor entry-level technicians
- Maintain and inventory of issued tooling and equipment
- Complete and submit reports accurately and on-time
- Perform other skilled and non-skilled duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; associates degree in a technical field preferred
- 5 years of experience completing up tower generator repairs to include: Bearing changes, Rotor Relead, AWA Electrical testing, Wye ring replacements
- 2 years of experience in a supervisory, leadership, or training role
- Extensive knowledge of multiple turbine platforms include: GE, Vestas, Siemens
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to understand, perform, and retain various skill-related training, operational and safety procedures
- Able and willing to travel 100% of the time
- Able and willing to work weekends and/or overtime as needed
- Work efficiently alone, as well as effectively within a team
- Able to climb towers unassisted up to 350 feet
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
The hourly compensation for this role is $33.00 - $39.00 per hour and is commensurate on experience and education. Promotional opportunities are available upon skills development and mastery.
