PURPOSE

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing their region in regards to sales and the technical transfer of knowledge.  They have direct responsibility to manage their direct reports, manufacturers reps and distributors.  Their job is to optimize their resources in their area in order to grow sales profitably.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Manufacturers Representatives in the region.
  • Manage Direct Rollon employees assigned to the region.
  • Grow sales in the Region.
  • Monitor performance of Rep organization, direct activities and assist with customer development and relationships.
  • Manage High Tech Distributor (HTD) partner business in the sales territory and interface with the HTD sales process.
  • Target key accounts and penetrate them.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedule to call on existing and prospective accounts.
  • Master product information / application knowledge through training and personal efforts.
  • Direct & guide efforts of sales, technical, customer service and production personnel as necessary to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Develop effective sales presentations tailored uniquely to each account.
  • Implement the Rollon selling system and monitor compliance to the system.
  • Keep management informed through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Manage opportunity list and grow the prospect list.  Work with Reps to make sure that the CRM system and opportunity list are up to date and accurate.
  • Attend Trade Shows.
  • Travel 50%.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bacherlor's Degree required (Engineering degree preferred)
  • At least 7 years of field sales experience
