The Challenge:

Timken is looking for a Talent Rockstar to drive diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) through Talent Management, Learning & Development and global talent processes. You will deploy and execute talent and DEI processes and best practices across the global enterprise and provide guidance and direction on the SuccessFactors Talent Suite and other cross-cultural collaboration tools. The individual selected for this assignment must be passionate about The Timken Company values, and enthusiastic about leading DEI and Talent initiatives that meet our business and associate needs.


What Needs to be Done:

  • Support Timken’s diversity and inclusion efforts by developing and growing opportunities that attract, engage, advance and retain diverse talent
  • Become a process and subject matter expert, and thought partner for all things Talent Management such as performance, succession, talent assessments, etc.
  • Facilitate training and change leadership sessions across the global associate base
  • Support our leadership and diversity development programs and actions
  • Measure impact of talent and DEI initiatives to drive results and equip us with the data needed to make informed decisions
  • Engage in organizations and communities that will provide value and benefit to advance our efforts
  • Drive and direct global associate resource groups (ARGs)
  • Drive enterprise listening efforts, analysis of results and associated communication through the organization
  • Participate in other projects as needed


The Basics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of experience OR a Master’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related area and 5 years of experience
  • Thrive in analytics, using tools like Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
  • Enjoy supporting and improving a business, ensuring talent is enabled, included, performing, developing and ready for their next challenge
  • Preferred experience in SuccessFactors Talent modules and other integrated talent systems
  • Experience using SuccessFactors preferred
  • Create and deploy talent and DEI processes to global teams
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence senior leadership

  • Expertise in deploying talent processes to global teams
  • Project Management experience
  • To enjoy and demonstrate systemic thinking and advanced problem solving
