Position Overview:

Timken is building its digital marketing capabilities and we are looking for an intern that can help develop and implement our product and technical content strategy. 


The content strategy aims to provide potential and existing Timken customers with relevant information to help with product search, technical specification/calculations/configurations, product selection and post-sales support.


The internship has three primary responsibilities: 

  1. Organize a master list of existing product and technical content (e.g. sell sheets, brochures, presentations, videos, white papers, etc.) and catalog / classify all materials to ensure future digital channels can provide the right information to the right customer group at the right time.
  2. Support research efforts to understand more deeply (a) what type of content is preferred for key customer groups to support their design and purchasing activities, and (b) where these customer groups go to access information to perform their job responsibilities (e.g. web, blog, search engine, social, design tools, video, email, training webinars, etc.).
  3. Benchmark best practices and required skills to build and operate content marketing capabilities within Timken.


Position will assist with other content marketing responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must be a current Sophomore or Junior enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's (12 semester/credit hours) at an accredited four-year university
• Must be enrolled in one of the following majors: Marketing, Communications, Business or related field of study

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
