Purpose of Position

The Challenger 300 Captain, Part 91 Operation position exists to provide on-demand travel to Timken associates, board of directors and customers. The Pilot will be responsible for operating the company aircraft in a safe and reliable manner.

The position is based out of the Timken Hangar at the Akron-Canton Regional Airport.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain emergency, abnormal and normal operating proficiency of company aircraft by successfully completing FAA approved simulator training annually
  • Ensure safe operation of the aircraft which includes:
    • Analyzing potential destinations for suitability with aircraft capabilities
    • Ensuring appropriate ground emergency equipment is available at each destination
    • Maintaining weather watch and recommending changes, if necessary, to associate itinerary
  • Thorough pre-flight coordination with associates and customers
  • Coordinate adequate arrival and departure times to meet the requirements of the passengers
  • Manage ground handling for aircraft and passengers
  • Direct mechanical problems and troubleshooting with maintenance staff
  • Administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • ATP FAA flight certificate
  • FAA first class medical
  • Minimum of 5,000 hours total flight time in equivalent equipment
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and FAA equipment restrictions
  • Incident-free FAA record
