Schulz Electric, a Timken Motor & Crane Company, has a current opening for a Accounts Receivable Analyst based out of East Haven, CT regional service center. The Accounts Receivable Analyst provides a wide range of receivables work supporting the finance team withinTimken Power Systems division. This position performs routine and non-routine, higher-level receivables tasks to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and business success.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage AR aging collections
  • Reconcile the AR aging report to the AR sub-ledger
  • Issue customer invoices/ credit memos and review them for accuracy
  • Add/ edit customer master, run credit checks for new customers, and either decline or establish credit limits for such customers
  • Maintain customer documentation related to sales tax exemption
  • Process all credit card payments
  • Apply cash from our main bank account
  • Reconcile cash applied to general ledger
  • Enter all associates times to jobs in the company’s operational system Motorbase as applicable on a daily basis for the Schulz brand
  • Validate all revenue being recorded is supported by a bill of lading/ customer signed off document and alert management when the revenue recognition and delivery date are not in sync
  • Work with cross functional teams to reinforce and establish controls as directed by management
  • Maintain a work log weekly with brief descriptions of job tasks throughout the day
  • Ensure SOX compliance as applicable
  • Assist with projects as needed
  • Performs other activities as directed by Controller or senior management/ leadership team


Technical/ Functional Skills: 

  • Familiarity with Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Familiarity with financial reporting requirements under Sarbanes Oxley
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Proficient in ERP software or platforms (e.g., Motorbase, Epicor)


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
  • At least 3 years accounts receivables/ financial operations experience
  • Experience with accounting principles, including GAAP and SOX
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills are required
