This Role is required to drive the quality of Timken Aurora Bearing’s products, technical/user specifications and ensure proper functionality, maximize positive customer experience, and ensure durability of new and existing products.


This Role is required to minimize/eliminate the risk of significant field quality issues with consultants and customers. The value created is to identify product performance, customer experience, and quality issues before customer use and to reduce the overall adjustment as % of sales, reduce number of product returns, and reduce calls to the Customer Service Center.


Essential Responsibilities

 This position supports design control projects as well as other duties in support of the products. Documents control, Manufacturing department, and Investigations of complaints, nonconformance, and Unscheduled Maintenance.The position provides leadership and facilitation of Quality Management activities. Accountable for overall compliance administration activities. Provides support for Project Teams or Quality Department as required.  Provides work direction as required.


  Improvement of processes of integrated quality management system through: - offering necessary solutions and actions promoting quality and comprehension of Quality Policy - implementation of process improvements based on corporate and customer standards, legal regulations and standards - monitoring, auditing and continuous improvement of these processes Introduction and supervision of TQMS modules at the plant level by auditing, recommendation and problem solving activity Preparation of quality system for quality audits.


  Review of procedures, team meeting, implementation of changes in the system to eliminate nonconformities during external party audit (both customer and BSI). Coordination and conducting of internal quality audits. Preparation of reports, corrective and preventive actions. (CAR/PAR) (Write reports that include documentation of testing procedures, observations, data collected, and testing results). Supervision of root cause analysis and verification of implemented action. Participation in PBS activity as observer and data collector. Coordination of Process of System Management. Leading process review meeting. Preparation of documentation according to the ISO/TS standard. Review and implementation of changes in customer specific requirements and Timken standards.


Knowledge of the following job functions:


  • a) Know about component or product measurements based on specifications and drawings.
  • b) Know about  prototype functionality.
  • c) Know about Life cycle testing.
  • d) Performs Internal and/or Supplier Quality System Audits.
  • e) Ensures compliance to Department procedures.

EDUCATION & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Engineering
  • Master's Degree in Quality Engineering (Preferred) 
  • Minimum of 4 years experience (6 years preferred) in Quality or Process Engineer Quality and Production
  • ISO, TS Licenses or Certifications (Internal Auditor)
  • Highly organized and process oriented
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
