  Manage and co-ordinate the Human Resource department for driving organization, development, and cultural change processes that will deliver, embeds, continuously improve and sustain the Business Strategy within Prahova Plant.

  Key Leadership Team member responsible for monitoring, maintaining and improving compliance with Company & customer requirements


(STRATEGY/LEADERSHIP) Develop short and medium term strategy in cooperation with your peers.  Share/drive this vision throughout your team.  Ensure alignment of your team members to the goals of the broader organization.

 (PROCESSES) Drive a structured process approach to building sustainable organizational capability and cultural change.Establish and maintain operating metrics (Key Performance Indicators) for your area of responsibility, provide action plans and tactics when performance is below expectation.

(STRUCTURE) Create and maintain an effective organizational work structure (individual roles and responsibilities) to accomplish the objectives of your unit.  This process to include the evaluation of work content, flexibility, and breadth of responsibility beginning with your direct reports and cascading down to all levels in the organization.

 (HUMAN CAPITAL) Attract, Assess, Develop (via Talent Management Process) direct reports and others in the organization, to enhance their technical and interpersonal knowledge and skills.  Ensure effectiveness of the company’s annual planning and review program (performance objectives) and pay-for-performance system to motivate and reward employees.

Responsible for Prahova plant headcount plan and contributes to labor cost budget development.

Provide ongoing advice and support to the Business Leader on all aspects of HR, ensuring that HR solutions are provided in the most appropriate and cost effective way, as well as in accordance with Romanian Labor Law.

Work with functional managers to review and build management capability, ensuring development needs are captured and acted upon in order to produce high performing teams.

Responsible for identifying talent needs and development gaps and provides training and development programs for employees.

Coach/mentor managers and supervisors on effective management, communication and employee engagement.

Responsible for talent acquisition activity (sourcing and recruiting) for all vacancies but also for future focused development of talent pipeline. 

Develop and manage Associate and Labor Relations strategies to support business objectives and ensuring full compliance to legal regulations in Romania and to internal Timken policies and procedures.

Develop Total Rewards strategy (compensation and benefits) and implement compensation and benefit practices aligned with business state, local practices and changes in labor market, in order to attract and retain the most highly talented associates.

 (TEAMWORK) Team leadership, work in a cooperative fashion with your peers and support areas to achieve plant level goals, provide ongoing advice to managers on all aspects of H.R. ensuring H.R. solutions are provided in the most appropriate cost effective way.

 (CHANGE ORIENTATION) Develop within your team and other departments the appropriate “mindset” which demonstrates a proactive approach to process improvement and ensures sustainability.

 (LEGAL ENTITY) Ensure operational unit (Prahova plant) is in compliance with company regulations and Romanian law; manages employment contracts (individual and collective), apply and makes decisions according to company’s procedures (employee handbook) and manages the industrial relations; ensure organization is compliant with Health & Safety regulations

(COMMUNICATION) Facilitate effective communication both internally in Prahova plant and externally within the Timken Corporation.


Technical/ / Functional Skills

List the critical job-specific skills that will serve as standards for selecting among the most qualified candidates and that may be used for assessing performance in this position.

Broad understanding of H.R practices and driving change initiatives (Cultural etc).

Demonstration of ability to work and communicate within a team environment, both as a leader and as a participant.  Experience working with people of various levels and backgrounds.

Proficient in both the spoken and written English language.

Working and managing in a union environment

Experience implementing / managing in a pay-for-performance environment

Managing and working with a diverse team in an environment of rapid growth
