Paid Internship Program

Participants will be based at the GGB manufacturing facilities in Thorofare, NJ, and will be provided a balance of functional responsibilities and project leadership opportunities.  Program benefits include visibility to site and Division leaders, as well as exposure to different functional areas as part of the work experience.

Job Description

  • Intern will work on a specific project or projects/activities in their field in the area of process improvement and manufacturing engineering.
  • Monitor process and provide opportunities to improve performance and minimize waste.
  • Focus on design, operation, control, and optimization of processes to determine efficiencies.
  • Lead and provide a formal summary report & briefing on project.
  • Participate in our lean processes working with cross-functional teams.

 

Critical Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with very strong academic performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with project teams and achieve extraordinary results.
  • Analytical capabilities and expert proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
  • Aptitude for hands-on work that will involve data collection and other assigned tasks in the production plant.
